The match day programme billed the Raiders as ‘the stand out team of the U14 competition....unbeaten all season with an average points score of 42 per game’ and ‘white hot favourites’. The Kukri Midlands Grand Final was indeed the culmination of a tremendous season but Derby City Dragons were not here to just make up numbers. They contributed significantly to a most entertaining game of Rugby League especially with some of their very big and fast players carrying well and a spirited defence.
