TELFORD RAIDERS have been selected as KUKRI Midlands Rugby League Club of the Year for 2010.
The Clubmark Gold club have again taken big strides forward in 2010., capitalizing on their junior sides maturing into adulthood by sucessfully running an Academy team that qualified for the play-offs. Alongside this their RLC team reached the Regional Final for the first time. At junior level the U16 side, although not havingthe best year, fulfilled every fixture. The U14's side were unbeaten all yearand at U12 and U11 the club has championed activity to sustain the club into the future.
In addition to a good year on the field, the Raiders have easily made the best effort with thier partnership initiative with Super League club St Helens. In addition the club has recently secured just short of £10,000 fron Sport England to continue to strengthen the club and are currently in progressibve talks with the council about a long term facilities plan. |

CONGRATULATIONS to Telford Raiders Ross McGinn on his selection as the 2010 U14 KUKRI Midlands player of the year.
McGinn's all round attitude as a player shows maturity beyond his years. The fullback is cool under the pressure of the high ball and runs hot in attack, ready to capitalise on any chances available to score. Ross has also impressed at regional leveland earned the respect of his colleagues around the region.

We are planning to run an 8 session Skills Development Program in the off-season to teach, target and improve all the basic skills of rugby league, starting on Saturday 11th September.

The engage Super League Grand Final is the most highly charged game of the season and sparks will fly as the best teams battle for the ultimate prize of Engage Super League champions!
The atmosphere is guaranteed to be electric as Rugby League’s elite competition comes to an epic finale at Old Trafford. As well as explosive action on the pitch, there’ll be fireworks off it, not to mention spectacular entertainment.
Join the RAIDERS on our annual Grand Final trip, Saturday 2 October, tickets including coach transport just £30. (The RAIDERS will receive 50% of the ticket price back to spend on whatever we wish.)
Coach leaves Telford approx 2pm, match kicks off 6pm return to Telford approx 11pm. Demand for tickets is always high so book yours now, with a deposit of £10 per ticket.
